The Love Project hosts creative events that encourage and celebrate Love.

It was created in February 2020 with our very first event called The Love Ceremony.

The Love Ceremony is an event celebrating women and their self love.

It is an opportunity to connect with the unique gift that each of us are in this world.

Honouring our journey through challenges, growth and potential.

We gathered at Tahunanui Beach, Nelson under a driftwood altar in front of a mirror and went through a ceremony guided by Celebrant, Raewyn Jenkins.

Participants were invited to vow to themselves a commitment to ongoing self love and what that meant to them personally.

A ring ceremony was optional as a reminder of this commitment.

A ritual swim in the ocean at the end of the ceremony signified the letting go of the past and rebirthing into the present.

This will potentially be an annual event for both men and women, for us all to celebrate self love.
